me talking to little kids: oh hey man wow I like your shoes they light up! No way I wish I had some like that, I bet they make you run so fast!!
me talking to older people: I'm not really sure what it is I want to do with my life, but I figure that as long as I'm happy it can't be that bad
me talking to people my age: well howdily doodily my fellow young people, what's hip hop happening over here? I'm just off to inject a meth and listen to an MTV if you youngsters are 'down' also haha look at that lingo, golly gosh what a time to be alive

Yet they claim that the queer community is overly sexual and puts our sex lives out there. Straight people are weird.

Yup. Never forget that MOGII people are the ones trying to indoctrinate children. My parents told me that they used to call my cousin flirty when she was little because she “batted her eyes”. No, she was not flirty, she was fucking two years old. Stop sexualising kids.

I was playing guess who with my friend and her father at his apartment. The game goes that everyone has a person on their head and they have to guess it by asking yes or no questions. My friend’s person was Rhianna.

Friend: Is the artist black?

Me: No

Father: Yes

Me: she’s an islander from Barbados.

Father (in response to me): Then yes she is black if she comes from the Caribbean.

I can only recall the time when a Jamaican friend told me that he felt lumping Caribbean nations under the blanket  of “African American” (or in this insensitive case “black”) erased and simplified his identify to suit the needs of the people around him.

This is what’s wrong. People place others under  blanket statements to simplify them as people for their own convince. Situations like these are detrimental to the progress of representation of groups under said statement.

I feel as if I’ve let myself down for not speaking up about the importance of this when the situation arose when if it was a game.

I’ve found that growing up means being honest. About what I want. What I need. What I feel. Who I am.
